PackStaff is a family company in every sense of the word.

Walt Ellis founded the company in 1998 after 20+ years in packaging machinery sales. He established a relationship with Packaging Personnel Company early on and together they recognized a need for a company directly focused on the recruitment and development of Packaging Engineers. That business model has served us well over the years and has reinforced the need to establish long-term relationships within the packaging industry.

While we take advantage of technologies that are out there (LinkedIn, etc.), we have not lost sight of the fact that personal interaction is the core to working with people. We strive to create matches that serve both company and candidate through open communication and active listening.

We have had several recruiters over the 20+ years since PackStaff’s establishment, but Walt’s children have embraced the business and want to carry on its legacy.

Christian and Amanda took ownership in January of 2021 and Walt retired about two years later. Though he no longer recruits, we continue to consult with Walt, learning from his years of experience. We work with companies large and small all over the US, and candidates from entry to director level. We look forward to further developing our footprint within the packaging community.
